How come President Obama is open to having an independent commission investigate the use of torture during the Bush years, yet torture is happening everyday against black America.
President Obama should be open to having an independent commission investigate the use of torture against black folks on the streets of America. Black kids, women and children are being tasered to death, while black.
The fact is the UN's Committee Against Torture has declared that taser use can constitute a form of torture, while USA: Amnesty International has a on-going concern about the use of tasers. With all the conversation about the Bush torture memos and torture in the United States, It may be the best time to bring up the issue of torture of black folks by Taser. With so many deaths at the hands of police by taser use and abuse.

I thought the Justice Department had already opened up an investigation into abusive taser deployments and death. Where is that investigation now?
If you look at it in simple economic terms, the more the price of electrocuting Black men goes up, the the less demand there will be. The "buyers" are not just police officers, but the police departments, cities and towns that hire them, and the federal and state governments that fund them.
Even members of the public who support the police in these actions are "buyers" for whom the price must go up before the demand their comes down.
Right now the price of taking Black lives is subsidized by the color-aroused (in)justice system that guarantees the price of Black lives remains low. Blacks need to intervene in the markets to determinedly and creatively drive up the price of taking Black lives, because higher prices will result in decreased demand.
